About the authors…
Edward R. Szemraj is a retiree of the Maryvale School District in Cheektowaga, NY and is involved in the alumni affairs of Canisius College as well as in regional and international activities dealing with Poland and Eastern Europe.
Wanda Slawinska is the curator of the Fronczak room in the E.H. Butler Library at Buffalo State College, an amateur historian and a promoter of Polish causes. She has contributed material for publication by the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland.
Robert Farkas, Ph.D. is a retired public school administrator and teacher, and an active member of the Mother Church in Polonia, St. Stanislaus, Bishop & Martyr Parish in Buffalo, NY, serving on the Parish Council and author of its 125th anniversary history.
Sr. Mary Joanne Suranni, CSSF, is a social studies and religion teacher in North Tonawanda, and plays an active role in her Felician Community.
