About the author…

Robert Louis Stevenson first published A Child’s Garden of Verses in 1885. Heather Lynn Harris’ art captures the sense of wonder and awe that Robert Louis Stevenson surely intended when he wrote The Swing more than a century ago. This award-winning artist’s favorite subject is children, and she loves creating art that tells a story, often reflecting childhood experiences of joy, discovery and adventure. She lives in Orchard Park, New York with her husband and three children.
